Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of Dumas frozen puff pastry
  • 2 beefsteak tomatoes (or other variety)
  • 1 container cherry tomatoes
  • 1 ball fresh mozzarella
  • 1 stalk fresh basil
  • 1 bunch chives
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 egg yolk (for brushing)

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Defrost a sheet of Dumas puff pastry.
  3. Cut dough into desired shape; use extra for crust.
  4. Place dough on baking sheet.
  5. Slice tomatoes and season.
  6. Finely chop basil and chives.
  7. Halve cherry tomatoes, mix with herbs, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  8. Cut mozzarella into ~10 pieces.
  9. Spread sliced tomatoes on dough, add cherry tomatoes, then mozzarella.
  10. Brush tart edges with egg yolk.
  11. Bake 20-25 minutes until dough is golden and cooked.
  12. Cool 2-3 minutes and serve.
