Apple Tart
Nothing is more comforting than Mom’s classic apple tart. Everyone will love it!
Ingredients
- 2 bottom and 2 top pie crusts, Chef Dumas
- 14 apples
- 65 ml butter
- 125 ml maple syrup
- 250 ml brown sugar
- 5 ml cinnamon
- 2 pinches nutmeg
- 30 ml cornstarch
Preparation
- Preheat to 350°F (180°C).
- Peel and slice the apples.
- Melt butter; sauté apples for 2 minutes.
- Add syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, and brown sugar; mix for 1 minute.
- Off heat, add cornstarch.
- Fill bottom crusts, cover with top crusts, seal edges.
- Make slits.
- Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour (until crust is golden).
